I received BJ's Journal today and it had a recipe for a home made hair mask. Since it's made from things most of us already have, it can save quite a bit of money. With the cost of hair products, I plan to try this.

1 tsp. canola oil
1 egg
1 Tablespoon pure clover honey
1 Tablespoon lemon juice

Mix and massage into damp hair. Cover with plastic shower cap and leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Masks of this type are always good, but brunettes dying their hair should avoid lemon juice as it lightens it.

Olive oil hair mask:-Whisk up 5 tablespoons of olive oil – it doesn't matter which sort – with 2 full eggs. Massage thoroughly into your hair and then cover it with plastic wrap or a shower hat. Your body heat will help the oil to penetrate. Leave for a minimum of 30 minutes and then shampoo out, rinsing well.
