I was just wondering what the Norfolk Greyhound is like? Is it an actual building or just a "box"? And is it closed overnight?
If so, are there any 24/7 (McDonald's or something) restaurants where I could stay a night (like 1 am to 6 am) around there? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Its a building. You could google earth map the address of 701 Monticello Ave Norfolk, VA 23510 and use street view to view the place.

Unfortunately there are no late night places nearby that are open nearby the station. (That Im aware of, aside from hotels). Most things in this area close down by 10-11pm anyway.

Ive never used it so I dont know their hours but Im sure their website has the hours of operation for that location.

It's a building but I believe it closes around 11pm if there are no buses coming or going. Depends on the night I suppose.

There is a 24 hour IHOP about 8 blocks away at 21st and Granby. Be careful between VA Beach Blvd and about 13th Street after dark It's not a horrible neighborhood but there have been a couple of robberies and a sexual assualt in that stretch over the past few months. Would probably be best to just take a cab if its after dark.

I wouldn't go walking around there after dark, and especially not close to 1 AM! There is a McDonalds off St. Pauls, but I'm not sure it's open 24 hours and it is on the edge of the slums.

Stay inside the bus station and do not walk around at night, it sits pretty much next to the projects which is a high crime area
