In Hampton Roads, beyond the shorelines and beaches, you'll find out that there's more to the 757 area code than its waterways that connect the 7 cities together, locally known as "the south side" and the "peninsula". If you dig deeper than the sand, you'll find out that this metro area of over 1.6 million people is full of diversity, has a strong military presence, and over 400 years of rich history. It's the second most populous area of the state behind Northern Virginia, with many attractions that attract tourists year round, including the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
Just like the main Virginia page pictures photos from all across the state, this thread is to show pictures from here in Hampton Roads, to give those thinking of visiting a way to see the place we call home visually.

Wow. I promise I was going to make this exact same thread yesterday when I noticed there was not a picture thread for the Tidewater area of VA. Nice pictures also. Do you have any neighborhood pictures? Ghent, freemason district, etc)?
