Take into consideration that Server's at Golden corral are only paid 2.13 an hour, and if they are bringing you refills, then technically, they are still waiting on you. They also have to clean up after you. I used to work there, and its hard when you bust your A** bringing endless refills to tables, and all of the other extras they ask for, and receive no tip.

LilyLady, I feel the same way about people touching extra silverware. I think all buffets should wrap all three (knife, spoon, fork) in a napkin like restaurants who bring utensils to your table. We don't have to use the napkin but at least if someone misgrabs the utensils it's not so gross.

I typically don't like places that give out straws.

I also took my ex-wife to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving Dinner in the midst of her complaining about everything under the sun. It truly was the least I could do.

I really don't understand why most buffets have not gone the way of serve yourself drinks. I mean, you're already getting the food, why not the drink?! They should just have bussers come around with small carts to collect dirty dishes.

That being said, I don't go to Golden Corral, but do go to other buffets and do tip.
