We have lived in a few homes in Va. Bch. and this last house is just loaded w/ants... in & out.

We buy everything under the sun at Home Depot and use it on a regular basis. I mean atleast once a week.

We've contacted a termite co and they tell us that they use the same stuff Home Depot carries and it's not worth having a contract w/them.

Help... we've had them in the house once this summer and there now at bay on the fence, walk way, patio and even in the shed. OH ya,,, we had one of our cars infested w/them. We leave nothing around,, food or anything that would attract them.

Would love input if you have/had them and what have you used that worked best, or termite co???

Thanks!!

You may have already tried this but I used Terro. I buy it at home depot. It kills them off in a day or two and don't come back. It the most effective product I've seen.

Good Luck!

I talked to an exterminator and he said they were particularly bad this year. What works for me is baby powder (I have a young son and small dog to worry about). Of course you'll have baby powder all over everything but the ants do stay away from it!

Default Grants Kills Ants

I live in the south end of VB near Dam Neck and we get our fair share of ants here. I buy "Grants Kills Ants" ant baits and they have been the best thing we've used since we've lived here. (2 years) You can buy them at Home Depot. I put them all over several months ago and haven't had ants inside my house since.

They are better than any ant bait we've ever used. Those cheapie plastic ones from Raid just don't cut it. Grants are an ant spike that you can stick in the ground or lay flat.

You can Google them to find out more info about them.
