I am in the process of moving from San Antonio, TX to Virginia Beach. I am finding it nearly impossible to find a house that will allow my APBT. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been looking on Craigslist and sent several messages asking about my dog. The Realtors said I can not get into any managed house because it is against their insurance. Any help would be appriciated.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but all the irresponsable people have ruined it for the owners that actually love the breed. I just started telling people who asked that my dogs are Am/Staffs. It's amazing what a little training can do if you actually care about your dog. Mine have always been trained to absolutely love people and most all other animals.

I was actually stopped by a women and her children not too long ago when I was out for a walk. She told me how beautiful my dog was and her kids started playing with her in the grass. We talked for about 10 minutes while her kids pounced all over my girl and then she asked the question. I told her APBT and she snatched her kids up and took off.

I bet if they passed laws making it a felony to have a dangerous dog that hurts someone that the idiots would stop buying them and showing them off like a set of new rims on their car.

Anyways, I know I've been no help but I don't really know what to tell you except to keep trying. I ended up buying a place so nobody could tell me no.
