I had 2 babies with Sentara Williamsburg and had a fantastic experience both times. The L&D floor wad not too crowded and the nurses were very nice and tried their very best to accommodate my wishes. I used Womancare of Williamsburg, but I am unsure if they take tricare. It's worth a shot. As far as I know there are only 2 OB practices that deliver at Sentara Williamsburg.

I have not heard great things about Riverside. For one, it can be extremely crowded and you may end up on a different floor for recovery, the nurses are extremely busy and can't really spend much time with you. I have heard it referred to as a "baby factory" because they just move you along the process with the other moms, no real thought to your individuality. That's just what I have heard. The medical care is supposed to be great, though.

I had a horrible experience with my obgyn who was not part of the Williamsburg Womenscare group! (That's a hint since there are only two practices in the area). I would also like to add that I did not like the care that I received at Sentara. My first child was born in a private hospital and Sentara is a community hospital. Big difference in the treatment you receive as a patient. I would suggest going elsewhere if you are able. Just my opinion!
