Hi

I am relocating to Harrisburg and have been solidly looking online, making telephone calls and talking to people to get a sense of where to stay. I ordered an apartment guide of central pennsylvania, but still no luck. Safety is the first concern along with newer units or those that have been updated and remodeled. Rent is a consideration with the maximum of a little over 1000for a 3 bed/2 bath. Camp Hill comes up and so does Hershey in some discussions with others, however some of the apartment complexes I have considered apparently have no openings and won't for a long time I'm told.

If someone has suggestions or advice, I'll gladly take it. I'm becoming just a little exasperated at the moment.

Are you looking for an apartment complex or individual apartment? I'd suggest taking a look at craigslist harrisburg.

As far as towns go, Hershey and Camp Hill are good. Also check out Hummelstown, Lingelstown, New Cumberland, and Mechanicsburg. All of these towns have low crime w/ easy commutes.

Thanks for responding trlstreet. I am looking at individual apartments and noticed a lot of townhomes. Townhomes are unusual where I am now.
