I don't believe HBH took any shots at dreaming or myself, I think it was a generalized statement towards some routine players. At least I did not take it personally.
I only posted because I felt that as a recent transplant I could voice that at least this malahini knew of Eddie a bit beyond the t-shirt slogan of Eddie Would Go.

Actually, he did direct his post #5 directly at me (he quoted my post in his post). When I countered his previous statement that none of the posters knew who Eddie was, he countered by questioning whether I knew anything beyond a cute slogan. And why does he even need to make these kinds of statements about anyone on here? Most of us are just trying to be helpful and give some reasonable, real world responses to questions.

I agree, the majority of posters on this forum seem well intentioned.
But there is definitely a cadre of Hatfield and McCoys out there. And while it is entertaining to sometimes grab popcorn and watch the fur fly, it does get tiresome as they predictiably bash each other to no end.

Please Jonah k and Jung, both of you guys are older generation locals, who were taught Eddie Aikau philosophy and were exposed to the last bit of old hawaii like myself. You guys more so because you stayed on island. Its you guys that need to be speaking up and talk about the spirit of Eddie Aikau and other older generation legands and teaching it by talkstory. I have the most respect for both of you and your experience, knowledge of history which in my opinion far exceeds mine in alot of areas.

Spirit of intent, all you have to do is read all the older posts that she wrote in response, objecting to what is being said. 90% of the time its about some ideal of the real world or snark comment vs local, hawaiian culture or ideals related.
