The insurance companies will continue to manage health care and the government will help some individuals pay less for that insurance. The new plans with the same ten essential health benefits are actually better, in most cases, then what the plans have been up until now. No the new law does not work for everyone. But I see how it helps a lot of people.
I work at a Walgreens and we have vouchers for free flu shots for people who do not have insurance/insurance won't pay. Reimbursement should work though, but I would have tried to avoid the process by looking for a place with free flu shots. We are practically handing them out to anyone and everyone!
Kroger recently had a sign saying the flu shots were $12 or $18 depending on the specific shot. There was no charge for anyone with insurance.
I was thinking , even if the medicare computer system is down, can't the provider accept it as covered, bill medicare when the system is working, and even get paid if it turns out the person was no longer covered?
My second concern is for a reimbushment, isn't the maximum amount only something like $35? ($20 administering fee plus fue shot cost) If the provider is accepting medicare and charges over that $35 they only get $35 and can't bill the patient the rest.

Yes, the governement is unable to properly run health care, and that is never going to change. If it bothers you and others, just don't use governement healthcare. Complaining about something you ise where you have the ability not to use it is senseless. Drop health care where government has a hand in it and all your concerns are gone!
That is not an option for many Americans unfortunately. That is very a narrow opinion, like throw the baby out with the bath water. Complaining is the very thing that makes the needed changes. Proceeding in lockstep with policies that don't work is not the American way. My concerns are that the government listens to it's people and not blindly supporting bad policy.
For the record, our government is not going to be running health care services.
I beleive they have told the "services" what they have to offer, so YES they are running our health care services. By the way got the cancel letter and my insurance will double and the deductable will triple. UGH!!
