I have $5000 deductible insurance coverage with my company. We don't have prescription coverage. I really need Symbicort, but it's over $200. What do you all do about prescriptions if you don't have prescription coverage?

Thank you in advance.
You could write to the companies that make the drug and tell them you need their medication but can't afford it. I have heard that the manufacturers sometimes will give the monthly meds for free. You might have to prove it, but it could be worth the trouble.
Call your local pharmacy and ask someone to give you the names and addresses of the companies.
What do you mean that you don't have prescription drug coverage? Your plan doesn't cover medications at all? Are you sure or are they just part of your deductible? There is a big difference. Do you have an HSA? Is the $200 the full retail or did you price out the medication on your company website to see what the negotiated costs actually is?

Pay through the nose for it. I have no drug coverage, but much of it gets taken off my taxes.
When my medication soared to $230 per month, I found out about GoodRx.
I've used it regularly to save $180 and my mother has also used it to save nearly the same amount.
It lists the cheapest location to buy your prescription and provides discount codes.
Hope it helps!
