For reasons I won't go into, my wife lost her job and I have been using her Cobra insurance for her coverage. But planned to switch her to my company insurance at start of new year, Sept 1. I figured no need to pay for the August month, since she had no problems at the time and I could pay the August bill any time in August (30 day grace) if something needed. Now in the last week of August, she is having a issue which is either a minor infection or cancer. Is there any danger of any kind in me skipping the August Cobra payment of $500?
