I am very concerned about the Tax Plan that was just passed by the house and a similar plan that will soon be voted on by the senate. The Congressional Budget Office is warning that a budget rule could trigger deep cuts to Medicare over the next decade:
I think all politicians know that cutting social security benefits to seniors is political suicide. There is a lot of waste and many people receiving disability that aren't really disabled. For that I'd love to see cuts being made to the abuse and an overhaul into how those benefits are distributed. I'd like to see those who defraud the government to get undeserved benefits receive stiffer penalties.
Do I believe that medicare should be cut in favor of the 1% getting a big tax break. No. I don't. Trickle down economics? Been there, done that, it didn't work. This seems to me to be the biggest wealth redistribution ever with those who don't really need it waiting in line. Welfare for the rich? Just as reprehensible as welfare for those who don't really qualify. There has to be a better middle ground.
This is only the beginning of a planned attack on Social Security and Medicare. There is no way to pay for these tax cuts for the rich other than to cut and eventually end all entitlement programs.
Consnider how the public's attention has been directed to alleged sexual misconduct of forty years past and what they are pulling off under the noses of the voters.
BTW, we still havent seen Trump's tax returns nor we we ever.
