I currently have Tricare health insurance. I turn 65 in Feb and I will transition to Medicare and Tricare for life. I live in the state of Florida. Today a agent gave me a presentation on long term care insurance. I was very impressed on the information she gave me. My wife who is 61 will also be covered in the policy. We are trying to take our time before purchasing a policy. I looked for reviews on BLSC online and many were negative but I do not know how legit or accurate they are. I believe the premium will be 360.00 per month.

The quality of any long-term care policy is in the details. What are you getting, under what conditions, with what requirements, with what exclusions, and at what cost.

I apologize the agent did not leave any paperwork with all the details. We told the agent we wanted to sleep on it. So she is going to call us at a later date. I believe for a higher coverage (7000.00 per month) the monthly premium would be around 350.00 and for a lower coverage (6000.00 per month) the monthly premium would be 260.00.

I have life insurance and a annuity with Prudential. We plan on giving them a call. We have a lot of trust with Prudential.

Premiums, mean nothing without knowing the coverage.
In the early 2000's we looked around- about 100 carriers of LTCi.
Today, according to our FA, maybe 20.
