rope burn on neck (infected, skin, physician, removal)

1 week ago I recieved a long rope burn on my neck while I was working on a tree removal job, we were pulling logs with a pickup and pulleys and the rope holding the pulley broke and i was struck on the neck by the other rope causing a severe rope burn around 6 inches long and 1.5 inches wide clear through all layers of skin. Now 1 week later my skin is really tight and burny put not looking infected. should I break the tight skin so I can move my neck

You should probably have a physician look at it. If it's not infected, opening the protective scab could cause it to get infected.
