I'm not gluten intolerant. I can eat whole wheat in any other form but pasta with no problem.
It's not the fiber. I can eat any other high fiber food, including wheat, with no problem.
It's not the sauce. I can eat regular white pasta with the same sauce with no problem.
And this isn't even 100% whole wheat pasta, it's a 50/50 blend. I like pasta, but I don't eat it often because I don't want the refined carbs. (not looking for discussion of carbs here)
Does anyone else experience this? It just doesn't seem to make any sense.
I'd take a look at the ingredients and see what is different from the pasta you can eat with no issues. It might be something that is added to the whole wheat to make it perform better in pasta as opposed to the whole wheat itself.
