Tailor's Bunion? (pain, surgery, insurance, expensive)

I have a large tailor's bunion on my left foot and it's really painful and would like surgery, but don't have any health insurance. Does anyone know how much surgery usually costs? Anyone have a tailor's bunion. I know it's not as common as a regular bunion.

If you have no insurance and are not eligible for say, Medicaid you will probably have to forget it. Any surgery is expensive and the healing process with bunions can be very long. If it is on your right foot you will not even be able to drive to and from work.

Look for a medical study in your area. I have seen studies of pain meds after bunion surgery. They actually pay you a little but you might not get an effective pain med.
