People are really different in terms of their sensitivity to caffeine ... I LOVE coffee but only drink it within an hour or two after I wake up. Any later than that, certainly any coffee in the afternoon, and I won't be sleeping that night!
My sister, OTOH, is addicted to Coke (as in Coca-Cola!) and often drinks one right before going to bed. If I did that I'd be wide awake for the next 10 hours.
