There have been posts about and objections to the fact that some doctors require a second visit (and payment) to get the results of lab work.
Whether or not this new rule is going to be good or bad is up for question.
That's true, you can request that the results be sent to you. Usually the Dr follow up is to go over anything that's out of the ordinary from the test. You can cancel if you want.
My last test results the DR assistant called me and said everything was ok on my tests and that I did not need to come in that they would mail me a copy.
When getting a heart test recently, I asked if I could get the results / report. They said they would charge me for that!
I said, "I'm already paying a fortune for the test, WHY should I have to pay more to get the results?"
It is a RACKET! I think some doctors are more suited to be greedy stock brokers..
