Seeing an ENT on Wednesday, but, looking for ideas on why I have sore throat (my throat, infection)

I am going to see an ENT Wednesday, but, I'm curious if anybody has any ideas. I have had recurring sore throats with pus in my throat four times since July. Only one time was I positive for strep though. The sore throats are horrible to the point of not being able to sleep for days because I'm scared I'm choking. My glands are swollen so much they hurt to the touch and you can actually see the swelling in my neck. I have horrible headache, dizzy and tons of pus in my throat and ears hurt. Help this is upsetting.
As an alternative hypothesis, I would say an infection caused by persistent erosive reflux.
