I hear food poisoning has an "incubation" period, anywhere from 1 hour to a few days, depending on the "bug". I still am quite sure this was McDonald's fault, and now that I think of it, the french fries did not taste done. Cannot find anyplace in AZ to report this; guess they have so many people with food poisoning, they really don't care.
It reaslly sounds like you might have something other than food poisoning. Regardless, I hope by now you are going to be able to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner. Whether it was McDonalds fault or not is something you will never know. I am not a supporter of Micky Ds cause I don't eat fast food very often and have other places I would rather choose to get my "burger" fix, but I also think they offer a pretty good product for people in a hurry and please do realize, anyone can get sick from almost anyplace.

Yep, am pretty sure it was food poisoning. Had all the symptoms. Did ease off on any hard foods until today !
It is a week later, and I ate like a pig. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and thanks for the good wishes.

You described exactly what happens to me when ever I get food poisoning...you definitely had it. You should have reported it to them. My system is extremely sensitive and if there's food poisoning anywhere, I'm the first to show symptoms. You let the bacteria move through your system which can take up to 3 days or longer. Some people prefer to call their docs and get medication that slows down the abd spasms and also treat with antibiotics. That way just takes longer and I prefer to let it go through me and get it over with.

All I have to do is smell something with food poisoning and I get it. I throw out anything in my fridge I suspect is old, I clean everything, I'm very careful with my food.

You could have reported it to them or the public health department of your state.

Glad you're feeling better

You'll know it's food poisoning when the abd spasms (aka stomach cramps) start which in turn get everything ready to come out the end, resulting in watery diarrhea. You'll know when it comes...diarrhea, sweats, n/v, dizziness, slight to high fever, resulting dehydration (which causes another whole set of problems).

Food poisoning will start anywhere from a couple hours to even a few days later after you've eaten infected food. In some cases it can start weeks later (as in hep A). There is a food poisoning bug out there that sometimes doesn't cause all the abd spams and diarrhea but presents with severe n/v, but in the same breath can come with the complete package.

Most cases of food poisoning are either caused by a virus or bacteria that needs to get out of your body...one way or the other, and there's only one way

There are other causes of food poisoning but virus and bacteria are the most common.

I know what you do mean by smelling something and get food poisoning: as a kid I ate too much potato salad one night. It probably wasn't spoiled cause no one else in the family got sick, but it was probably 30 years before I could eat it again. I don't care how it was fixed or where, I just remember how sick I was; add to that, it was the night before my 13th birthday and I had about 6 friends coming for dinner the next day. I can add, I love potato salad now, but it took a long time to forget.

As for reporting the possibility of food poisning to the state, I don't know how much good that really does, expecially days later.

My daughter and two granddaughters all ate MCD French fries last night. My daughter has thrown up at least 12 times and the grandkids about 3 times between them! What do I do?

Keep em hydrated with lots of water, even if they keep throwing it up. An electrolyte like Pediasure maybe good for them too. Once they stop throwing up you can try adding soft foods until you are certain the episode is over.

Was that the only food they all ate? If not, how do you know the cause was not another food? Or a virus from a nonfood source?
