I think mine were estrogen related too. I didn't know at the time that they were migraines. I used to call them "walking headaches" because I couldn't take a step without having more pain. When I was married at 21 I went on birth control pills and they went away. This is not a recommendation, and I understand it doesn't work for everyone. I hope you can find a way to cure them.

BCP's made my migraines CONSTANT. ooouuuuccchhh. My head is remembering.
The only food I ever felt helped a migraine at all was ice cream! (Maybe it was just a distraction, who knows?) The thing that seems to have seriously helped my migraines was going to a chiropractor (for an unrelated neck injury) After about 6 mos of regular chiropractic treatment, I noticed I rarely if ever had a migraine. (I formerly had them roughly every 10 days or so.)
Could you all say more about the estrogen thing? Do you mean too much estrogen or too little, or what? Someone once said my migraines seemed to be based on an "estrogen plunge" (she was a nurse, but was saying this, you know, unofficially), but I wasn't sure what this was about or why I would be having this ... I mean, it is menopausal or pre-menopausal or something?
if you have migrane
1- during attack you must place in dark area -close your eyes-
treatment
1-megrane tab 1 tab bid
2- if you have nosia you need to take B6 vitamine

goldenmom, I don't know why, but just taking birth control pills worked for me. I don't know how I feel about taking birth control pills anymore due to all of those cancer scares but I was on them for 25 years. They also took away the pain of my monthies. I ended up with endometriosis at 45, but I don't know the reason, and so then I was placed on ERT, and after a few years I went off that.

thanks jessaka ... for me they are reevaluating everything as I've just moved and have a new set of doctors (in fact, I have an appt. tomorrow, but will probably cancel due to cold-flu). But ... so far they say no to the hormones because of my blood clotting history. Maybe one of the low dose that have just come out will be an option, but I'll see what these new drs. say ...
