We've talked about this before but I found this article today which gives some new information.
I usually doze during the evening news and half the time I wake up in the middle of a TV show and ask my DH "What happened?" I'm honestly sleepy at that time but if I go to bed that early I'm wide awake around 2-4, go back to sleep and then have hell to pay to get up at 6-6:30. I could never go that long a period without artificial light. When would I read, pay bills, surf the internet, post to CD?
This is what I do sometimes. I go to bed around 7:30- sleep till 9 or 9:30 a deep restful sleep. Then I get up and either read or watch TV with my husband till about midnight or 1. Back to bed to sleep till about 5. That seems to work most of the time but with a family going to bed at 7:30 every night doesn't always work.
Does anybody else try the two sleep method?
