Hello, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone.

I was wondering, does anyone hands and feet get really cold during winter time?
It been getting cold here where I live, it 30 degree F here for the past few nights. Seem like this winter gonna be colder than previous winters.

My husband he knows when the weather get cold/winter time, my hands and feet get really cold at night; so when we in bed--he always rubs my hands and rubs my feet.
He been rubs my feet the past three nights; right now I wish he home from work so he can rubs my feet again, lol

My hands and feet get freezing though, like very very cold--this ONLY happen in winter time though. Does anyone else also have cold hands and feet just in winter time only?

I'm 30, husband also 30. I don't know if it because my age 30; but I keep heard that as you get older, it gets more common to get cold hands and feet in winter time?

Thyroid issues. My feet were cold all the time until I was properly diagnosed and medicated.

That said - here's my take. It sounds like Raynaud's Syndrome. You can google that and see if it sounds like what you're dealing with. It's not uncommon in cold weather.

Hope you find some answers. And Merry Christmas to you too!

thyroid and women and being tall are some reasons for cold extremeties.

Women lose blood every month = makes them more cold
men have more muscles = keeps the blood flowing better

I have cold feet and hands all year round since I meet all the criteria.

Thyroid issues can do it, or poor circulation. Does it only happen at that time of the month?

I'm sure there's lots of reasons. Have you ever mentioned it to your doctor?

My feet are always like blocks of ice, but I have Hashimotos so it is to be expected.

Last year my hands and feet were really cold all the time. I have Raynaud's and had trouble every time I went out in the cold. I also take metformin and I've heard that makes the cold hands and feet problem much worse. I was expecting a miserable winter, but it's been great so far, maybe because it hasn't been so cold but also maybe because I've been lifting weights regularly.

Anyhow, get your thyroid checked but also your iron levels. I was anemic after a major blood loss and I was very cold for months, even when it wasn't that cold outside.

I'm a guy and I've always noticed my hands, though not my feet so much, have always gotten uncomfortably cold and sometimes borderline painful when exposed to cold. I'm talking about temperatures 50 or below, though a couple times I've worked in fairly cold offices (60s) and while the rest of my body was okay, my hands would get cold and turn red sometimes. I live in Hawaii now so it doesn't get cold enough for my hands to get cold but when I used to live on the mainland I noticed this when it got cold and when I travel I notice this too. I see people walking without gloves but my hands are always uncomfortable when it's about 50 or lower. My hands feel like they've just picked up a piece of ice. I have small, skinny hands so I'm not sure that's part of the reason but I'm pretty sure my hands get colder than others. Wonder if I have Raynaud's, though it doesn't really affect my life except for the occasional uncomfortable feeling if I go someplace cold.
