I am curious as to the frequency of forum member's bowel movements.
This is a serious question.
When I was younger, the standard guideline was that different people had different frequencies. Some may go only once every few days, while others may have much higher frequencies.
Nowadays I'm pretty regular, and go at least once a day, sometimes several times a day. I think it's healthier to stay regular instead of having long periods of time between. I just don't feel good either if it's not frequent.
I don't particularly eat a lot of fiber but don't have a problem with things like constipation.
For constipation issues good to take extra Vit C and quality magnesium...I do and am regular enough, a couple times a day. Some prunes during the day too.
Work to eat good high fiber veggies...broccoli and cabbage are a couple good ones. I just made a for die for cabbage stir fry with ground lamb...yummmmmm
Gotta watch how we state our comments...lots of wise comments which really are not funny...
I always do #2 in the bathroom. For that matter, I always do #1 in the bathroom too.
As for frequency, 2 or 3 times a day. I'd say I'm pretty regular. First thing in the morning, about 4 pm, and once in a while before bed. I eat a moderate amount of fiber (oatmeal, fruits, veggies, salad), eat yogurt daily for probiotics, and drink about 64 ounces of a combination of water, tea, and coffee a day.
Once per day, occasionally twice if I eat something really greasy.
