I'm pushing 40. I don't feel 40, but I sit around and think I've been an adult longer than I've been a child and teen. While I remember my childhood, it's not as vivid as say college. I feel I'm entering oldness. Obviously, I'm not doing to retire and stop dying my grays, but I might stop playing piano as my hands aren't what they used to be. What do you consider old? I don't mean the oldest person you know. What at age is someone old to you?
I'm going to be 78 this year and a friend said she really felt old when she hit 80...she's 83 now I believe. I have a very active almost 95 yr old bridge friend who walks circles around me. She never had joint replacements...if I could take it back I probably would. This replacement really did me in.

Save your money....living longer takes money.
I have a friend who is in his 40s and he had hip surgery a little over ten years ago due to a sport injury. He hasn't ever really bounced back.
My mother is 93. She says she didn't feel old until she turned 90.
I'm 68, about to turn 69. I don't feel old at all until I look in the mirror. And the prospect of turning 70 in a little over another year really depresses me. 70 sounds like such an old number!
I think in general I agree with 80ish. Although I know very "old" younger folks and "young" older folks so a lot depends on the individual.
Same here ^^^. A lot of it is attitude. Some people seem born "old" while others seem forever young. I am 66 and I feel young. I don't know if I will ever feel old.
