Have you ever had abdominal surgery before? Even as a child? Sometimes the scar tissue from past surgeries can become problematic because it's not "stretchy" like typical tissue is.

It's called "adhesions" & sometimes they require surgery. I know sometimes they cause very strange pain symptoms that can take a while to pinpoint.

I've been very lucky. I've only been constipated once in my whole life following a surgery for hemmoroids. The anesthesia they use stopped me up but good. Just what I needed following a procedure like that. Stool softener didn't do a thing. I finally had to use a pretty extreme method and really flush myself out. I had some Golytely left over from the pre op cleanout I ha to do and that cleaned me up. Just a one time thing. What a relief! Felt like I had a brick stuck in me (which I basically did).

That blockage was rock hard and sizable. Oh yes, constipation will certainly cause a body some pain. Getting unstuck gives a profound relief that's an almost religious experience. lol

So I am seeing my gastro doc on the 19 of september.. I was finally confirmed diagnosed by the emergency with a Peptic Ulcer. So I was given Zantac 150mg to take twice a day for 8 weeks. (Cant take any PPI, because I get horrible side effects from them some reason). I am on week 5 of the Zantac treatment and I noticed the burning pain is all gone on the left side and middle. However I still have a gnawing and burning pain in the right side of stomach! I do feel maybe i am getting better because I do have no pain in the other lactotions anymore (well other than occasional tender and bruised like feeling) however the right side is the only place that still burns. Is it normal to still have some burning at 5 weeks of the full 8 week treatment?

P.S I was tested for H polry and was negative. They claim it was from constant NASID use (advil, Motrin)
