Not complaining of course but when I got sick (once a year maybe, sometime twice, or sometime once every 2 years). I got SICK. Fever, so stuffed up I couldn’t sleep, sore throat, green and brown crap coming out of nose and coughing it up. I haven’t gotten that way in over 7 years. I get an occasional cold but it doesn’t amount to much other than a scratchy throat and runny nose. My husband had the flu twice and the first time I only got a cough. The second time I had a 100 fever on and off for one day and then I was fine the next. I haven’t done anything different. Maybe use more hand sanitizer but that’s about it.
All of us tend to get fewer respiratory infections as we get older because we have already been exposed to many of the viruses that cause them and become immune to them.
Also, we tend to have less exposure to small children, who catch all those viruses because they are not immune to them and pass them on to everyone in the family.
I never got that sick thru my long life and now even less, no colds/flu but I do use supplements for many yrs. My thorn is arthritis.
