I am thinking of switching dermatologists to see if there is a permanent or better solution to his issue. I just need to know if anyone has first hand experience with this and if they have a good remedy or how they dealt with it besides going to a dermatologist. thanks.

I took care of my mom and she passed away from this auto immune disease. I kept her comfortable with mittens to prevent scratching, lots of gauze; and bactricium powder. I was her nurse because the facility she was in did not handle wound care and she was not on hospice at that time.
I Thank God that she did not know what was going on... not like I knew.
I kept her medicated so she was alert but not agitated, but it was a lot of trial and error medicating her, and then she got these UTI's
Remember, it is always
harder on the Caregiver, mentally and emotionally especially towards the end of their Dementia journey.
