I'm fairly new to these forums, but was interested to hear how people were keeping themselves educated on the ongoing Covid-19 updates. Couldn't believe this site with all the data on cases was made by a 17 year old boy! been using it a lot to monitor the spread based on information released by world governments. You can check it out here - https://ncov2019.live/data
Has anyone else got good information they care to share?
I am periodically checking two sources; my state public health website to see if there are any significant changes in regional recommendations, pattern of exposures, or new mandates, and the CDC for overall information and practical protective guidelines. Most of the pertinent essential information isn't changing from day to day. I'll listen to the news for a few minutes to stay generally informed, but then turn it off when politicians start pontificating or they start interviewing victims/relatives.
FWIW, wallowing in different sources' interpretations, speculations, and extrapolations isn't helping anything. I'm not wasting energy wringing my hands over the latest death statistics and not listening to media scare-fare. Endlessly worrying whether you might have had a case of Covid-19 months ago, given the few facts and records that even exist (because no one was looking) isn't really all that useful now that the current mutated reality is here. Lying awake worrying about every object or surface I might have touched the day before or which is more of a threat...that new Cheerios box or the door handle on my car isn't improving much. All that does is ramp up anxiety...which isn't great for one's immune system and makes people do more stupid things than they might otherwise.
