Last night as I was flossing I accidentally cut (with the floss) one of those red, stringy things on the underside of my tongue. Not the big one in the middle, but one of the smaller ones on either side of it. It didn't bleed, but got red and I think I severed part of it because it seems to be flapping around. It hurts a lot (a burning kind of pain) and I wonder if I should see an oral surgeon about this now? Anyone have any experience with this?
