Any suggestions or good mattresses for a side sleeper? I looked at the prices of sleep number online and was a little shocked. Also, wasn't there a black mold issue?
We bought a king air-core bed on Amazon in 2015, cost about $900, not including shipping to Hawaii, another $200.
I'd give you a link, but it's no longer available.
We got a similar bed at Walmart in 2005, queen size for only $300. Great bed, excellent customer service, but the company stopped making them.
Both beds were still comfortable when we sold them in a move in 2018.
The beds are basically an air mattress with memory foam pad, wrapped in a cover.
I wonder if they stopped being available due to legal issues.
The sleep number beds are impossible to wear out as long as you can still get the parts. My chiropractor has had his for 25 years and we bought ours in 2006. So I’m the long run not really expensive.
In the long run, they're still ridiculously overpriced, since other companies make similar, good quality beds much less expensively.
