hi,
this may not be anything....but i wanted to see if anyone has seen anything like this....there was a daddy long leg spider on my leg which i shook off....10 minutes later, i got this rash from my ankle to my thigh....any thoughts? ( i know these spiders are not venomous....but could it be an allergy? if so, what must i do?)
A spider bite will have redness and swelling emenating directly from the bite site and usually takes a few days to get bad, also if you are positive it was a daddy long legs then I would not be concerned about it being a bite. What you have here looks like an allergic reaction to something...did your legs come in contact with any type of plant life? Have you eaten anything out of the ordinary? Did you put bug spray on your legs? Think of all of the variables..also go to a clinic.
I am going to guess that your "rash" was gone when you woke up? (Or very faded by now?)
I get that exact same thing when my skin gets too hot. It usually happens in the summertime if I am wearing dark pants and I am sitting in direct sunlight, but it also happens in the winter if I stand too close to the heater.
If the rash is still there or it has gotten worse, go see a Dr. just to be safe!

I was just thinking the same thing. My legs and arms do the same thing.

I had a series of bites on my upper thigh that had me concerned and so I went to the walk-in clinic to find out what they were. The doctor on call told me they were spider bites, and that spiders 'graze' so to speak. They bite, move on almost in a straight line, bite again and so on and so forth. Now obviously he wasn't a spider expert but it made sense to me. Anyway I ended up with four, red, itchy, sore spider spots that healed once I applied ointment to them they cleared up. Now please if you are spider experts and this doctor was wrong, please blame him and not me I'm only passing on what I was told.
