Shocked & newly diagnosed diabetic here who now exercises religiously and watches sugar content. Watch those low-fat items...they're laden with sugar!

Apart from the obvious physical things ( eat less , better and exercise) BE HAPPY. Stress is bad for your health , your skin , your love life everything. We need to rush less and start enjoying our lives more. I should know , I spent years pushing myself physically , emotionally and professionally and my body just "snapped" 7 years ago. I have now been diagnosed with CFS ( Chronic fatigue syndrome) and chronic depression. Don't get like me, stop before it's too late ! I was the ultimate perfectionist ( and in many ways still am , hence me not getting better) and also wanted to please everyone all of the time. It's not worth it. We are working too hard, and putting too much pressure on ourselves. The modern pace of life has meant that despite technological advances we actually have less time to just "be".

Work for a company that provides IVF insurance coverage. Other than that, look at spending about 16k per cycle - that includes ultra-sounds, meds (which alone can cost up to 5k depending on your protocol), blood draws, retrieval & transfer.

There's also an IVF message board that has a Michigan discussion section.

take a multi and antioxidants daily (antioxidants are very useful for anti-aging and cancer prevention)
eat healthier (balance of protein, carbs, and fat, getting most carbohydrates from whole grain sources, fats primarily from nuts and fish (only 1/3 of your fat intake should be saturated fat))
exercise more - exercise is ten times more effective at preventing heart disease than diet

yes, a large part of the aging process is caused by cell death. also, many cancers are started by cell oxidation....anti-oxidants prevent this oxidation.

imo, anti-oxidants are very important to take after exercise; exercise is VERY oxidative.
