SEATTLE, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Free medical exams for survivors of the 1945 atomic bomb blasts in Japan attracted about 50 people in Seattle this weekend, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Since 1977, Japanese doctors have offered the exams every other year to those who survived the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, The Seattle Times reported Sunday.
