The diary lacks human emotion. Very robotic. Many dates, stats, conference call subject matters, but nothing on how the military operations were impacting his life or that of others.

Halder must be treated with caution. After WW2 he did pander to the allies, mainly the USA., telling them what they wanted to hear. The USA gave him an award. No kidding. I know what I would have done with him.
