My problem with this show is that it deals too much in speculations about American history and tries to portray them as facts. They need a real archeologist hosting a show like this who can weed out the facts from the theories.

It's for pure entertainment only. For the most part its extreme BS:
Like the holy grail arrived to America in 1300.
Or, Captain Kidd's treasure was found by a rich man in 1800 and they went to his descendants to ask if they have it. But it can be entertainment for children.

This and Ancient Astronauts both use the same formula. First they start out showing a site, with some intro. Then they give a bare bones scientific explanation, and then, they say but what if...

And then they go onto what if this and that, cherry picking their 'evidence' and ignoring the science. Or they lie. There is one on Ancient Astronauts which discusses the slabs cut on the Peruvian plains. They even say science doesn't have an explanation of how they were made. Or that they were so precise there was no way the 'ancient' world could make them.

I found a debunking site, and its very interesting what they 'ignored'. The site was covered with tools with which the ancients made the slabs, and they've found have made one. And the appratus where they were lifted is still there. They even had part of it on the screen while saying it didn't exist.

Shows which take SO much lisence as these become suspect about any of their 'conclusions'.

Love, love, love this show. Of course I don't think everything presented is true, but the fun part for me is hearing about all of these places, the myths behind them, and getting to visit them via the show. Like Ancient Aliens, and other alt shows, it really gets the imagination going thinking of all of the possibilities, even if some are right out of a sci fi book.

I just wish he would stop taking a chisel and chopping pieces off stone artifacts...that kills me each time he does it.
