Agreed wholeheartedly, it is a shame she didn't survive the camps.

If you really think it's so hugely off-topic, you could just request it be moved out of the history section to a different section more relevant instead of making historically inaccurate comments in attempts to draw people into a political debate, followed requesting it be closed completely.

You're right---I did not consider the possibility of moving it to another forum. (But I can't imagine which one.) The emotional points I "raised" had already been raised. The History Forum is no place for issues where any response except politically correct emotional is deemed inappropriate.

It sounds like you just have a personal grudge on the subject matter. There's nothing wrong with history evoking emotion, whether politically correct or not.

Geez, I don't see what's so wrong by posting this here. I didn't think it would be a problem, sorry. This is the 2nd or 3rd post I've ever made in the History forum. If it's really in the wrong forum, the mods will move it.

Completely off-topic, but as a youth, some friends and I started a rock/electronica band called "Anne Frank Ashtray."

We were pretty into history and being irreverent, but atleast for teenagers, it was creative. I'm not going to lie - I am pretty offended by the whole thing now lol (Note: I have a BA in History.)

I owe everyone an apology for over-racting.

It takes a big person to agree that they may have been wrong.
That shows character, thank you.

If she'd lived to be 80, I imagine her with long white hair in a low bun, thin, but with those same telling & wise eyes.
