My first sail boat was a Megatech Nirvana, this is a great beginners boat because the radio is already installed. My next boat was the Kyosho Fortune 612, this is also a great sailer. I'm thinking next summer I'd like to get a Victor model or some other 1 meter boat. I get this a lot..."wheres the engine?" Its funny how they look at you when you tell them its a sail boat. I used to fly planes and run the electric buggies, but this is less stress to your mind and its just fun playing in the wind.

Soling 1 has a huge following across the USA. It's a sweet boat, make sure you have a *** when you build. Most groups/clubs have a *** too loan plus individuals that have built several boats. If you go too the AMYA American Model Yatch Association and look for your state and location you should find a Soling Group or become a member in the Yahoo group.
