That does not matter. Why would they play for a USA team then?

The team may be from the USA but there was only five non-Canadians (one American) playing tonight. May as well be Team Canada who won.

As for why they play for teams in the US. For one, most of the teams are there which is out of their control but the main reason is MONEY like any professional athlete.

That does not change the fact that a team from USA defeated a team from Canada in their own home ice.

How can you use a team which fielded 16 (I believe) Canadian players as the premise to your point of how the US beat Canada? If you want any sort of accurate indication of how Canadians size up to their American counterparts on the ice, your best bet would be to look back to the Winter Olympics which were held in Vancouver. By that time, you would realize how stupid your fact of the day is.

That's about all it was. A team from the USA. You're welcome for all the Canadian talent that pretty much won the cup for you.

Maybe we should take all the Canadian players and make all Canadian teams. Then we could see just how good those American teams would be. My guess. They wouldn't stand a chance.
