Pittsburgh has played well in Philadelphia in recent years. Game 6 would be a great day for "Go Flyers...into the off-season".

Flyers didn't win a single home playoff game in this series.

Go Pens!!!!!

The Pittsburgh Penguins advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoff. They defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 8-5 in Game 6 to win the series 4-2. They will play the winner of the Washington Capitals/Columbus Blue Jackets series.

Game 6 of the Washington/Columbus series is tonight at Columbus. Washington leads the series 3-2.

I would like to see the Pittsburgh Penguins eliminate the Philadelphia Flyers in the now five-game series. The Penguins have played well at Philadelphia in recent seasons. The Flyers like to beat themselves up, beat others up, and party in the penalty box.
As a Caps fan.. It's disappointing to basically be the Buffalo Bills/Atlanta Braves of the NHL.. They're always the class of the division, often the conference, then collapse in the playoffs. Most times to the GD Penguins. In overtime. Or multiple overtime.

I agree Trotz needs to go.. But.. Not sure it's time to blow everything up yet.

The Blue Jackets series.. I swear, it was looking like they were going to lose that series without ever having been behind in a game. I think they were briefly behind in game 2, actually.. But I was sitting there thinking they were going to lose that series in typical Washington fashion.. Every game in OT.

Obviously, as a Caps fan.. I would have preferred the Flyers eliminate the Penguins.

If the Capitals don't beat Pittsburgh this time, they never will.

I think I may have said that last year, and possibly in 2016, but this year it's really being put to the test

Since my first round was crap, let's try round 2:

Pens over the Caps in 6 (until it actually happens continue to pick the Pens against the Caps), Lightning over the Bruins in 5.
VGK over Sharks in 5. Think the Sharks will take 1, plus they aren't likely to score 7 goals again, but they are playing great, Preds over Jets in 7. IMO, whoever wins this series is my pick to win the Stanley Cup.

If the Capitals are eliminated by the Penguins, they will need to make changes. Not renewing Barry Trotz's contract would be the first priority. Rebuilding would be the second priority.

Nice win Pens, did not want to go back to Washington down 3-1.

Jets or Lightning for the cup, Predators a dark horse. These three are so fast they make the other teams looking like they're skating in mud.

Gotta go with the Lightning.
