that doesn't look tacky or cheap
looking for more of a victorian or traditional style

Take a truck to a "you bought it, you haul it" estate sale or auction. Bedroom and dining room furniture usually goes for a song because many of the bidders can't move something that large. I've seen pristine Henredon, Baker, Thomasville, and Ethan Allen suites go for a couple of hundred dollars because nobody wanted to move them. You can usually preview large sales so you know if it's worth renting the truck.
