Is anyone into" luxury candles", like Diptique, Votivo, Archipelego, Voluspa, and Nest for example? I was exploring some local boutiques and more than a few stores had a luxury candle burning and offered a variety of different scents for sale. Some of the aromas were lovely. I was never really a "candle snob", pretty much a Yankee Candle or Bath & Body Works type of woman. Are the luxury candle scents more concentrated? Do they burn better or longer? What sets them apart (aside from packaging and marketing) from other candles?
I used to burn scented candles but rarely do so anymore....I have bad allergies and they seem to really cause me problems.....here is one of my favorite brands - the scent of these candles is amazing and they are beautiful to look at. I used to buy their big candles and they would last me for months.
Archipelago is my fav! I switch between that and Aromatique, which is a little cheaper.
Right now, I am using Aromatique in the Grapefruit Fandango scent. It is a lovely citrus-fresh and very clean scent. I use it to perk up the living room every so often and it works wonders.
I love Votivo, Red Current. Otherwise, I do not use a lot of scented candles. I am a Root Candle, unscented, beeswax taber girl, but the red current is such a yummy smell to me.
Typically, I'll just have it burning in the guest bathroom when we have company, and so I only need about 1-2 a year.
