If it were me, I would need a lot more color and pattern. I would want a beautiful pair of drapes, and from there I would jump of those colors with some accessories.
I do not like clutter, but I also don't want a Pottery Barn catalog with none of my personality in the room.
Right now, your room looks stark and uninviting to me. It seems you have ignored the carpet color in your choice of wall color. I love gray, but I don't like it with the beige carpet.

Would you consider a crystal chandelier instead of the fan? I love the look of chandeliers in bedrooms. Here are a couple:
