Not sure if this is the place for this but if not, it'll be moved.

I've seen a gazillion craft room organization ideas but they seem mostly geared to scrapbooking.
Does anyone do needlework and have a craft room for their supplies? books and such can go on shelves of course. I'm mainly puzzled how to store cloth, mostly aida but also needlepoint canvas and some linen.

I don't want them hanging out-I know I won't use them fast enough to prevent dust settling. Drawers? On hangers in a closet? I'm starting with an empty room so I can put in any shelf, cupboard, closet, whatever.

What have you tried that didn't work? What did you end up doing?

I always liked the way this blogger organized her sewing room.

I stacked my fabric on shelves in a closet. In a previous room, I had a metal shelving unit that we put together in a closet, and I stacked my fabric there. I also have a few things in plastic bins.

seems like shelves then are the way to go!

and they're simple to find or make.

Thanks!
