Almost done with my drop cloth curtains. They turned out pretty cool. I need to hem the bottoms. Way too much excess cloth.

This is a great way to cover a lot for cheap, but I hope you aren't using them outside? I made the mistake of using drop cloths for patio curtains and they turned mildew within a few weeks.

Don't anticipate any thing to work on
For at least 2 years.

My fabric is already on the way, should be here tomorrow . I've already picked out some new prints too, but I'm not going to order them until the fabric gets here.

I've seen curtains made with tablecloths too, which is another pretty economical alternative.

I need to file some things, and I really need to tackle my walk in closet, which I've never properly organized. I am trying to talk myself into thinking about the job in a meaningful way. I'd like to have a plan of action before getting started. But sometimes if I just get going, what I want to do will come to me.

I'd love to paint it, but I am not doing that. The color it is will have do.

Picked my patio contractor, got HOA approval and confirmed I don't need a variance from the County! Now in the contractor's lineup, with a start date 3-4 out! Phase 1 here I come!

FYI, I sent away for swatches from Fabric.com and Fabricguru.com, and the fabric guru's came in a few days, but the fabric.com are on backorder. Also, I'm looking at some fabric as low as $4.99 a yd at fabric guru, but the lowest at fabric.com is $14.99. So fabric guru is definitely my favorite site right now.

I picked my pillow fabric from fabric.com. The swatches, and later, the fabric all arrived quickly. The weather has been awful, so I haven't finished painting my bistro table and chairs yet and I haven't had time to make the pillows. Okay, that might be a bit of a lie. I haven't sewn in years and I'm a little intimidated. I used to sew and this shouldn't be a big deal, but I'm worried about messing up. I think everyone here needs to post some photos.

I finally finished my dining room chandelier:

I apologe for the hugness and bad quality of the picture... but, it gives you an idea. It took me a couple weeks to make that thing, but I think it looks pretty good. I wrote a blog post (well, 4 actually) about it: DIY Diva: Faux Shell Chandelier - Part 1

Next up for me is this cooler I'm making that I found on IKEA Hackers.
