Item 12 on this week's BHG Style Spotters. I think this is a standout way to frame color photos! I've come around to narrow, dark frames for most things, but I really like the white frames against white walls. I don't know if I would like white frames around color photos on gray walls as much.
At any rate, I wanted to share this image. The other stuff in this blog post isn't as interesting to me, but it might be to you.

I think it has to be the right photo though or else it will be too whitewashed.JMO.
One entire room of my house (formerly a bedroom) has become my Photo Room. I bought the same white photo frames in different sizes and hung up photos of my kids, siblings and parents. Most of the photos are 50 years old -- some are even older. I also framed some of my kids' artwork form 40-45 years ago. I love going in there and looking at all the photos and I think the white frames set the photos off beautifully.

I do too! There is something about the white frames combined with white walls and mats that sets off color photos, I think.
In the example I posted, the frames were slightly different from each other. Either way, I think this is a way to set off color photos, which never look quite as sharp as black and whites framed with black frames, IMO.
I wonder if someone had gray walls, would gray frames have the same effect? I would never choose a gray mat though.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. I like your arrangements.
I like it - especially TFW46's. Added bonus for me is I'd think that you don't see the dust build up (as much?) on white frames as you would on dark frames.

Thanks. You're right -- you dont see dust buildup so much on white frames.

Sweet idea.
