We're looking for suggestions for a possible accent chair, pillows, and a small rug that would accompany this sofa: http://www.pier1.com/alton-tan-track-arm-loveseat/3047100.html?cgid=sofas#nav=top&start=1
It's a light tan sofa from pier one. We're looking for items that will fit into a small living room, with wooden floors and light yellow walls. Any suggestions are welcomed!
I would add pops of aqua in with your other colors...I think that would look really nice. And maybe a bold accent rug that you really love with a fun pattern.
If you look at the Pier 1 website for the sofa in that color, they have a couple examples of a furnished room with it (seach for Alton Tan on the website)
With all the warm and neutral tones in the room, I'd recommend going with cooler colors. Any blue that you like would probably do, but I'd probably not use a really dark blue. Greens would also work, and you could add a plant as well, if the light in your room is adequate.
If you love purple, use it, but stay on the blue side.
I think you could also use white as a ground color, or as an accent. A white faux fur throw might look good. White lamps might be pretty.
I thInk I'd choose the rug first, and I recommend buying larger than you think you need. The rug is your most expensive purchase, after the sofa, so choose it, and let its colors guide you for other accent colors. But don't try to over match things.
