This looks somewhat interesting -- https://www.kohlershowers.com/

Appears to use a cultured marble or similar "composite" type material to cover the walls, they call is "LuxStone"...

Apparently this is an "offshoot" of Kohler's "walk-in tub" business -- https://www.kohlerwalkinbath.com/walk-in-bath-features/ . That strikes me as driven much more by folks with a desire for "aging in place" and from what I've experienced with elderly parents / in-laws (as well read up about...) these are massively over-promoted... Buying A Walk-In Bathtub – Your Biggest Mistake? | homeability.com

I've used Kohler products before, and they generally are well made, but I wonder how others feel? Even the most costly "kit showers" generally strike me as not as good a choice as traditional materials.

Personally I would be extremely reluctant to consider anything other than a shower that was fully tiled / covered in natural store and walk-in tubs have ZERO appeal to me...

We had Bath Fitters do a bathroom for us about 8 years ago. It made a big improvement in that aging bathroom. I do not know how well it has held up, as we moved 5 years ago.

I do not see the point to having a walk in tub. I have a jetted tub I do not ever use.

We tiled a shower that had been simply a builder grade fiberglass unit. We love using it. But we have mold and hard water problems. The bath fitter type retrofit might be a good solution for a headache free shower.

we recently stayed in a hotel that has this. I thought it was a tiled shower stall that had wood looking tiles. very pretty. it wasn't until I took a shower that I realized it wasn't. But you had to really feel it and study it closely to discover it wasn't in fact tiled. I usually despise things of this sort but to my pleasant surprise it was very nice.
