It's a handmade bed surely not cheap. Needs a big bedroom to fit in comfortably and don't make it crowdy.
It should fit with the rest of your house, by style. Brick & Mortar Design: DIY Chalk Painted Canopy Bed
I am a sound sleeper. Although I sleep well, I do thrash around a lot when I sleep. I'd be worried about my feet and toes getting stuck in the iron grillwork down there at the foot of the bed. That could really hurt!!!! I could even sprain a toe or break one! Even if they just hit that grill work hard while I was thrashing, it could cause painful bruising I would think.
Other than that, it's fine even though some might think it was over the top. I don't mind the style at all, but for me it doesn't really matter. As long as a bed is outstandingly comfortable I don't much care what style it is because I am usually asleep when I am in my bedroom. My present bed has nothing at the foot of it, and I think that is perfect.
I would simply remove the iron work at the foot of the bed then use it as a fun guest bed. Lots of pillows or you would get your hair caught up in the headboard. Ouch!
Moreover, you couldn't name the style if you tried, because it never existed in the history of furniture.
It's not that designers can't invent new styles, but this is an unfortunate conglomeration.
Isn't it spanish gothic? Maybe the light color wood is throwing us off.
